Top Gear is an award winning TV show about motor vehicles, mainly focusing on cars. It began in 1977 as a motoring magazine show. Over time, and especially since a relaunch in 2002, it has developed a quirky, humorous style. The programme is estimated to have 385 million viewers worldwide and 11 million viewers each week, with one episode (Series 7 Episode 5) having 21 million viewers worldwide on BBC2. The show is presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig, who is an anonymous test driver. In 2007 it was one of the most pirated television shows in the world.
Here we can post our views about the show (If you haven't seen any, take a look [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to see what it is like. Also, I will post when there is going to be a TG on, so you don't miss it!
Fav Episode : I like the Alfa Challenge (Series 11, Episode 4)
Top Gear is mighty funny, it is the truth. They get in a lot of trouble for doing semi-illegal things, (Smoking in a public place, sometimes there is also bad driving). JC takes it out of everyone and evertyhing, from the normal to the absurd.
However, I think the American Top gear will be a large failure, as only the Petrol - Heads will watch it.
Discuss.

And yah.. at the semi illegal stuff.. like overtaking on a double white line.. crazy eagle eyed viewers... and clarkson checking his flies.. i was rofling alll monday (i record and watch in teh morning.. cos i likes internets on sunday evening).
If you dont watch it.. you are the biggest fail (except apple - but your getting close).
And also the American series will definately be a failure.. as the Diggnation guys, Alex and Kevin said..
"These three guys make the show.. that richard hammond.. james and.. that paul someone (they meant jeremy clarkson.. but paul was the most british name they could think of)"
They both agree that everyone'll just download the english version.. i reckon it'll be the #1 pirated tv show as soon as the americans release their Top Gear, because the whole of america loves britain (again)..

Why don't you use the iPlayer?
That's what I do,
Lol yeah the American version won't be the same and will fail,
Were you the one telling me Richard and James hadn't signed the contract yet because they were getting less money?
If so have they signed it yet?

Yeh i was telling you that.. and i'm not sure if they signed yet, but it ends at the end of the month.
Also the iPlayer sucks, Top Gear is a show that deserves my undivided attention.. not just my left eye.. lookign at the iplayer while on the internet + msn.
We've got Top Gear here in Australia and it's rated fairly highly. I watch it now and then but my bro and my neighbour are major fans. Can't imagine how the American version of Top Gear is going to be like..
They never had any problems with the contract. James May said that on Radio 5 Live, on Monday on the 1:00 PM show. He said the rumors must have been started by a journalist, as Richard and James recognize that Jeremy should get more as he does more. James said "If I did the same as Clarskson does now, you would all get bored of me and no one would watch it. I think it's better to have Jeremy as the main person because I feel that I always have to come up from the corner and argue against him.
Aden, you say you get distracted,

Reason: off-topic and offensive material. have a nice day
Well I guess they can't go wrong there,
I have yet to see what's going to happen with the American version,
Personally I just think it's funnier and just plain cooler having the traditional Brits doing it
