I hate microsoft.
I hate MS. I mean i really freaking hate MS, with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns. I hated MS before most of you guys were respirating.
I hated MS when all they had was Basic 1.0 on a paper tape. That's a lot of hate-years I put in, and I'm proud of each one. Somebody stole my iPod. (Something MS probably didn't - but may have - taken part in.) So my gf got me an old zune 1.0 which staples was dumping for $110 bucks. I gotta say : dayam. 30 gig for $110, it's an instant win. Interface is really slick. Zune software handles all of my ... um ... non-DRM'd media without a hitch - even does video conversion for me. Wireless syncing to my PC !? Seems that MS retro-upgraded version 1 with some of V2's features. Just to be cool. Big screen - yea, i know it's the same number of pixels, but now i can hold it at a comfortable distance and a friend can watch too. The finish doesn't self-destruct upon exposure to oxygen like the iPod's did. I can't believe i'm saying it. It feels weird, like buying weed from your english teacher. But I gotta say it, thanx for the zune, MS. Nice job. (At this price, MS is losing money anyway!) |

Yeah I know what you mean, personally I'm not a Microsoft or Apple fanboy but I can see why people really don't like either of them (apple more though) as shado said though you just have to suck it up if some thing's nice

Thanx for the welcome and all ! My zune (which I call my 'z-pod') goes with me everywhere now.
I suppose it's important to give props to MS or Apple when they do the right thing; if people bash them for everything, they'll just keep sucking. I actually use Linux on my laptop - Ubuntu, which I found to be much, much more stable and responsive than XP or Vista. I access by zune by running a virtual machine with XP on top of Ubuntu; if anyone wants to know the details of how to do this, feel free to give me a shout .... |
