Thats because you are set as invisible.
Other members can see you online if you are invisible.
To toggle this setting go to usercp> edit options.

So that people don't bother you, by thinking that you are online..
it helps me alot actually.. I can get stuff done silently and efficiently. It is usefull, you just need to figure out when you need to use it
