Today Blizzard Entertainment announced when they will launch the Russian Language version of their most popular MMORPG, World of WarCraft. The release of this particular version will be August 8, 2008. Not only will you buy able to buy the the regular, but Blizzard is also releasing the expansion pack, The Burning Crusade, for the Russian community.
There will be two different boxed versions of the game. The DVD box version will include a 1 year membership, while the CD boxed version will only include a 14 day trial memberships. According to Blizzards website the monthly members are as follows, a month-to-month plan for 359 rubles per month, a three-month plan for 329 rubles per month, and a six-month plan for 299 rubles per month.
Here is what CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment, Mike Morhaime had to say about this up coming release,"The launch of the Russian-language version reflects our continuing commitment to make World of Warcraft even more accessible for gamers throughout the world. We also hope that providing a fully localised version of the game will further enhance the gameplay experience for our enthusiastic Russian community."
Furthermore, current European World of Warcraft players will be able to download an update that contains the Russian language pack off of WOW's Russia website.
