One of my favorite things in pokemon, kingdom hearts, grand theft auto, and world of warcraft. Is the unlocking of bonus challenges such as the cerulean cave, Sephiroth, bonus missions, and extra levels. It boosts the replay value tremendously and makes it an overall better game.
Some ideas for the bonus missions ( to be unlocked after the elite four) I had would be:
1. A trainer who uses all legendary pokemon. Kind of like 'Red' from gold and silver this trainer would be an extremely challenging fight seeing as how legendaries have generally higher stat boosts. This could be the mission to unlock the super legendary of the game, beat him and be awarded an egg of the final legendary.
2. Another region. I know this has been suggested or thought about before. But I would like to see the main character travel to an older region.
3. Trade routes. I remember in Robopon (one of the biggest rip offs of pokemon to date) you could do a robopon trade route to unlock the golden sunny. This would be done by, for example: trading a pidgey for a cubone, and then that cubone for a dratini, and so on and so forth until you got an exclusive pokemon that could only be obtained by doing the trade route. This would be a challenge, having to find the next person to trade to who could be hidden away on any part of the map.

i like this one new regions and stuff would be nice like have a island you go to by boat to hunt for special pokemon kind of like the safari zone sept in a brighter coller island look

i know that there might not be alot of old legendary pokemon in this but it would be cool to be able to go into space or something and be able to caught clefairy or deoxeus (dont know how to spell his name) you now just be able to go into space no pokemon game yet lets you go into space

If you have anything to add or change or comment please post thanks. | Firstly, i like the first idea, though i dont know if we'll take the "all legendary" idea, though i think that your rival should also beat the Elite Four, and then after you defeat the elite four, he is on the other side, with some amazing pokemon and ready to battle. I really feel that we will be making the rival as tough as possible so that you really have to have a strong, well trained force to win.
Secondly, the game is currently under development and therefore the finaly release is long off, but once the game is finished (what we have planned), we'll hope to continue development. Not as sequels, but as updates to the game.
I'd love to bring Kanto (the original pokemon region), into our game with a few updates (this would also include all the original pokemon.. )
Finally, thats a nice idea about trade routes / trade chains. I think we can do it and we may add it... these are the kind of ideas which will make this game much more interesting. Quote:

^ that sounds good , it be cool to have a city underwater like a city made of glass and it has a bunch of scientists or something doing research on the pokemon in the area or there looking for a underwater entrance to a cave which would be like a water island and the water cave runs down into a lava/ fire cave , that would add both fire and water islands into one witha storyline and a purpose to them

I think that there needs to be something involving the gym leaders afterwards. Once you defeat them and clear the town in the official games, you have no inccentive to go back again. The gym leaders could become more powerful and accept challenges from you after their initial defeat. They could also be used as plot devices for revealing a legendary Pok?mon to you.

I think an extra story/ specialness with ditto is long over do. Here's how it could work.
After elite four that extra pokemon(mewtwo for red/blue) could be an extremely fast ditto, that would be marked by the game somehow to tell it from other ditto( I think a rainbow shiny ditto would be amazing), and know "Legend Form"
After he is captured have some scientist researcher person call you or something about some wierd pokemon being sighted somewhere. Once you investigate and catch/kill the pokemon, you learn of another one.
the cycle continues until you have everyone of the pokemon. they should be as follows:
-one of each type (normal, flying, rock, fighting, ground...)
-each will always know three strongest moves of type and unless the ditto was caught, and Legend Form
-they should all be exceptionally fast, so only others of the six have equal speed(and the extremespeed ditto)
After all of them are caught the path continues:
You have a battle against a second shiny rainbow ditto, but this one can't be caught, not even by master ball. This ditto will behave in battle as follows:
whichever pokemon you send out, ditto will use LegendForm and become the pokemon of the aforementioned set with the biggest type advantage over yours. It will then randomly use one of the three attacks of that type, until your pokemone is changed to a pokemon where a different pokemon of the set would be a better choice. the cylce continues until either ditto faints or you lose. If you win you get a fuse rock that the shiny ditto leaves behind, after being defeated. If you caught the first shiny ditto and use fuse rock on it, each of the pokemon of the aforementioned set that you caught fuse into it(keeping their stats if a suggestion below is followed), and become linked with it's LegendForm technique.
LegendForm:
-unlimited pp/extremely high if easier to program
-always hits first...even over quick attack
-only known by the aforementioned set and 2 aforementioned shiny dittos.
-if used it instantly kills pokemon that share a type with the user
-if used by shiny ditto after becoming fused it does the first affect as well as opens a menu which lets you select one of the pokemon that are fused with ditto(one of the aforementioned set) and ditto transforms into that pokemon in all aspects, except for maintaining this affect of LegendForm(It would be awesome if this included experience and such, so that training and levling up is specific to each form)*Ditto stays in that form until LegendForm is used again or brought to and healed at a pokemon center*
Ditto:
-the two shinies are the only ones that don't have the usual transform, and for them it is replaced with LegendForm- they don't have both
-ditto is of unknown type, so that pre-fusion all legend form does is kill other ditto , so it never becomes some kind of super move to kill all normal pokemon
Shiny Ditto:
-as long as second is a ditto, it's faster so that the battle can't be skipped by using captured ditto to kill it (if it isn't ditto form the LegendForm will have no affect on LegendFormed shiny ditto)
fuse rock:
-see above for if shiny ditto was caught
-if shiny ditto was not caught it can be used on any pokemon allowing them to learn any tm/Hm(so if the shiny ditto was killed, there's still possibility for fair multiplayer battles against someone with shiny ditto, because you can now have a pokemon with the ability to learn super powerful attacks that are super affective against whatever types it's weak against, very similar to the Shiny Ditto version of Legend Form
also: if not fused with shiny ditto, the set of aforementioned pokemon behave like any other pokemon would, and are described as above...I think they should have boosted stats too.

----> Please show your support if you like this extra story, it could be molded to incoporate another region/gym badges and all other ideas too, by something like before each pokemon of the set can be caught a gym badge from a leader using that pokemon's type must defeated first, and the badge allows access to cave in which that pokemon is found...islands could be involved by having those be what you gain access to and where the pokemon are found...I think the point of how adaptable this is to offer point/goal behind side story for just about any side story, and possibly aspects from more than one, is made. Hence, I will finally end this massive post...
P.S.- for images of the set of pokemon I was thinking it could be all in image of some massive animal with differences according to type
possible animals:
elephant
human
crab
wolverine
sloth
kangaroo(<--this would be sweet)
