Hello to all readers, admins and especially the pokemon dev team. I was just looking over the pokedex, and pictures of the new pokemon. Now I don't mean any harm to anyone's artistic integrity, but most of the pokemon look..................ugly. The sprites do look clean, which is important, but most of the sprites look neopets inspired , digimon ripped, or just plain weird. ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ])

My favorite of the new pokemon is the evolution of the lapras, as it transformed from a "peaceful" looking pokemon to a more battle-orientated look, almost a "dark" look. And that got me thinking: why not make a Dark Pokemon version of pokemon? You could get some pokemon, and make them "dark" looking. Think the original pokemon movie, how all the pokemon were cloned, and back then i thought the pokemon on mewtwo's team looked BADASS. I think it would be cool if you changed the game so it would sort of revolve around dark pokemon. It would fit the forum very well- "dark zune"
Imagine if you could use a dark blastoise, charizard, or even that venusaur.................or even dark gyrados

OF course I know its too late to change everything, but suggestions wouldn't hurt. Although I don't find the pokemon appealing, I really think it is good work considering this is just a side project (might be major for some people), and I appreciate you even letting us see it. But I'm just being real with you guys, and hope you can appreciate the bluntness too. anyway if anything is unclear, (it is pretty late) ask me again, and I'll explain everything out clear.

With all of your comments and observations, I could NOT agree more. I think it would be unbelievable to have a 'dark' version. Who knows- in the next version of this they might design it like that. **crosses fingers**

It is probably too late, however. Those pics of the pokemon were distributed quite a while ago- it is way too late. Right now I just want them to spit the game out, lol.

Again thank you for being respectful- not too common of a sight on forums.

Thank you for your insight but like flyinsolo11, it is in fact too late to change anything now. The pokemon weren't originally designed for this game but as fan art and then established on a well known art sight. All we did was stumble across it and asked for the artist's permission to use her work. I personally don't think the pokemons are that ugly but rather cute but I do think have "dark" pokemons would be rather cool - especially when it's released by DarkZune.

I am not saying your post was outstanding- I am just saying that usually when someone flames something on a forum board, they do it with a very rude sense and are not kind about it- thats all.

I really like this idea. Like he said though, too late to change everything, it wouldn't be worth it, but if you were able to even just make the Legendary Pokemon in this game really dark and bas a** looking, that'd be awesome.

I get what you're saying about the dark pokemon...and depending on how far developement is and such(updates would be nice) there could possibly be dark pokemon at the end for an extra stroy: basically, go from the movie mewtwo returns...use similar models for dark pokemon, but make them look hc ba, and then in order to get to mewtwo instead of having long twisting tunnel and such(maybe have that next to mewtwo cave entrance for training area and any tms/hms that should be there, and make mewtwo someone where you have to go through like sixteen lvl 50 pokemon of his, then him, but if you catch/kill him, the dark pokemon he used become wild and are circled around the cave where he was (can see sprites
) and then you can fight them individually and catch them here. I almost think it would be better if mewtwo couldn't be caught....would be kinda cool to be able to kill him without losing anything.....I dunno...it always seemed like games making him catchable kinda ruin his supposed strength.

and I just realized that the story is all new and such, so this post prolly has little relevance, but still may give ideas.

I don't know, I kind of like the idea of catching Mewtwo. Also, dare I say, you could make a dark version of Mew!
