Seeing as Japan are the only people to be seeing this controller before Spring, I thought I'd give you my review of these to wet your appetite. I got mine a few weeks before xmas, but saved it till xmas

Here are some pics - I got it in white but it can also be bought in black.





As you can see from the pics it is no longer transparent but is solid white/black.

The actual controller is significantly heavier, which is really good as it is not like the sixaxis where it feels like you are going to snap it when you grip it.

Obviously the weight is due to the rumble. I have tested out the rumble and although it is not much different to the rumble found in the Dualshock 2, rumble is rumble and it is still a great effect. You can also modify the intensity of the rumble in the options menu.

Other minor additions - the analogue sticks are SLIGHTLY more resistant making them more precise for FPS etc and the L2 AND R2 buttons are stronger and feel much better.

Overall, its a great upgrade and I advise you all to buy one!

Sounds good, but how much does it cost (to get imported i presume) and is it really worth the cost?

Well a sixaxis is around ?35 instore and this works out at ?32 if you go with free delivery, if you go for quicker delivery you have to put another $20 onto that (?10). As I say, you can only get it imported.

And its defo defo worth it these are so much nicer than the sixaxis'.

awesome review - the dualshock 3 looks to be the best controller in town so far. i will definately reccommend this to my neighbour who's got a ps3
