Unusual Problem
My Zune will not be detected by my computer.
I've tried everything on the MS Support page all ready, including multiple reinstalls, different USB ports, etc etc. If I restart my computer with my zune cable attached to my USB, and my Zune, my computer will not start properly. It will get stuck during memory testing in bios. But when I unplug the zune from the zune cord, the computer works normally. When I've gone through the process of restarting, I try to connec the zune cord with with zune device. It is not detected, and it is not even receiving any power from my computer. I've used the device, the cord, and my computer simultanously before without any problems. So it's unusual to see this. |

Go to My Computer => (Right Click,) Properties => Device Manager for Vista or
My Computer => (Right Click,) Properties => Hardware => Device Manager for XP The drivers probably have malfunctioned, if they have device manager will show you. |

I've all ready check to see if any errors were listed with the USB's themselves, nothing, and I've also checked the Zune drivers, and they display no errors, they say "everything is working properly."
Everything on that mircosoft page, I have tried, multiple times. A friend told me my sync cable might be the issue, but I don't recall having beat my cord violently recently, so I can't formulate a reason as to why the sync cable would be defunct. Perhaps some more violence is in order. |

If the Zune isnt recieving any power i think its a cable problem.. if another cable doesnt fix it.. it could be the Zunes sync port that is damaged.. in which case it will need to be returned to microsoft.
