Connection problem

Ok for about the past two weeks i've had this annoying problem with my zune and it is really starting to aggravate me. When i connect my zune it charges fine but the computer software refuses to recognize it. other symptoms include the zune randomly flashing on and off and when it does this some times i get a little dialog box that say "device no properly installed blah blah blah"

now for the past two weeks i've been searching all the hell over the net looking for a solution. i've reinstalled the zune software god knows how many times i've plugged the cable into every port on my computer i've blown out all the dust but it still jsut sits there and flashes and refuses to connect...

any ideas?

Does it charge continuously or only during the flashes?
If it charges only during the flashes then there is a problem with your usb port.
If it charges continuously then download zSuite from this forum. Make sure its v2. Then change the Service Provider from Zune to WPD. Click Apply. Then Change the Service Provider Back to Zune and click Apply. Then run the Zune Software, see if the device gets detected now.
