Odd charging/connection combo problem

K.. ive just registered with you guys cause ive been reading and reading and reading and no one seems to have had the same problem as me lol, and im lookin for some help. Well the problems start with me plugging it into my pc (already tried different ports and unplugging other things from the pc), and windows nor zune software reads the device. When i plug it in however, it comes on straight to the screen with the giant battery with the charging plug in the middle. It stays on that screen for about 15-30 seconds, then goes to the home screen. Once it gets to the home screen the charging icon never shows up on the small battery in the lower right hand corner, and the zune blinks on and off in 30 second variables. WTF is goin on? lol
