zAlternator or Similar for Software 3.1

Is there some way I can use zAlternator with software version 3.1 on my 30gb zune. I know it says only version 2, is there something else I can do? I dont wanna break my zune, but I wanna sync it with itunes, I am not a fan of the MS Zune software. But I hate iPods.
