I am wondering if you know how to shut the zune down if you dont then do the following:
Hold the down and back button at the same time for a few seconds. as for your second question, what format are you trying to play? |

Before this new firmware to shut my zune down I held only back button. Now I have to hold back and down button, I prefer the old method.
About my second question, I tried to play mp3 and avi. (the old software version played them succesfully) Any idea? Thanks! ![]() |

You must be mistaken, the shutdown method has always been the same.
The zune software only supports(ted): m3u,m4a,m4b,m4v,mp3,mp4,wma,wmv and zpl Hence your mp3 should work unless you are trying to play a corrupted file. There was a multi extention support mod for the old software. Just wait around and youll probably see one for the new one aswell. |

I bought my zune 1 years ago and believe me the shutdown method was different in my zune (only back button to shut the zune down)
and I though this method was the same for all the zune around :/ Now I can shut it down with "2 button method". I hate the new firmware but everything is changing and I love to update my device. ![]() Any idea how to install new themes? (I had moonlight theme in the old firmware, and I miss it) About mp3 and videos, I don't have corrupt files and I'm gonna try to reinstall the zune desktop software and test it again. Thanks! ![]() Quote:

I mean theme for my zune firmware. I had moonlight theme in the old version, and other 2 themes installed by default. In the new firmware there is nothing about themes. |

The background "themes" that you are talking about was specific to the old firmware. Once you upgraded those went away and there is only the one default under Settings - Display - Background. You can try searching the internet and see if there is something similar or someone may be able to make something for you that you like.
