My Zune wont charge!!

hey hey
i have a huge problem!
i bought my Zune 80 about a month ago, when i was in the USA

a few days ago, the zune just turned off (the battery sign was full..)
and now, when i try to activate it, all i see is a faint low battery sign all over the screen, that vanishes after a couple of seconds.
when i connect the device to the USB port, nothing is happening beside the battery sign now shows a "battery charging" sign (its not really charging, though)

i tried to hard reset my device, but i cant really do it, because i cant reset what i cant turn on!

and i cant return the device to where i bought it...because i live in israel, but bought it in the USA

what do i do?
please help...

Hmm, if you are able to, try and import a Zune Wall Charger, or a new Zune Charger. This could be the problem. You could also leave it plugged into a USB for 24hours to see if it resolved anything. Worst come to worst, head to rapidrepair.com and ask if they can replace 80gb Zune Batteries, they should be able to.

yeah i forgot to tell you guys about that...

i allready have a wall charger, and it didnt really do anything

and right about now its connected to the USB port for something like 96 hours : )

but ill try that rapidrepair...thanks!!

Hi all,
I have the same problem, I live in Rome and then...no guarantee.

I open my Zune but it's really hard to understand where could be the problem.
I have to try to charge the battery with a professional modeling charger, but I think isn't a battery problem!!!

Know everybody the real nature of this problem?

not to dig up an old thread or anything. but i have the same problem. I have a wall charger. i bought my 80 gb after christmas 2007 at Target(90 day return policy) sooooooo....

well... have you tried different plug sockets?
have you tried charging it form a PC?

if it works from a PC then it isn't the battery, it could be something to do with the power difference between the US mains and wherever your trying to charge from, if im not mistaken, US mains use a lower voltage and i suppose your zune COULD have been damaged from using a plug supplying more Volts then it can take
