Zune 80 Podcast list shows same podcast over and over...
Hi all,
I have the Zune 80 with the latest firmware and Win software updates installed. I am running on Vista 32bit Ultimate and when I sync w/ my unit, both video and audio podcasts show over and over in the same list. I've tried changing the settings to only sync the latest 1 podcast instead of 3, then back to 3, and still, same issue. To better illustrate, say I have a podcast with episodes on 1/1, 2/1, and 3/1 (2008), this is what would show (in random order) 1/1 Podcast 2/1 Podcast 1/1 Podcast 3/1 Podcast 2/1 Podcast No pattern (intended), it's just random. So sometimes a podcast will list 12 items when only 3 are on there, or maybe 20 when 3 are listed. Anyone know of a fix? |

Hmm.. thats wierd.. have you tried changing the podcast settings (under settings) to only Sync 1 podcast. Try that and see how many dupes you get.
This will help us move forward with sorting this problem for you.

Yes I have, that's what i meant when I was saying I said only sync 1 (from 3) and now i set it back to 3. The thing is, it doesn't delete the old ones it appears, so the duplicates just keep adding on even when it was at 1.

Hi Alex, I've tried that but when I go to the device portion of the zune software, oddly enough it only shows one of each item...no duplicates, that's why it's driving me nuts...because the problem is on the zune device itself and I can't do anything about it

Thats really strange. Maybe you should try formatting your Zune?

Uninstalling / Reinstalling software wont help in this situation. I can only think of formatting in this situation.

Any luck with a solution
Hey i have the same issue. Have you found any solutions? Did reformating it work?
I have to ideas as to why it happens but no solutions. 1. I keep all my music on an external HD and my Podcasts on my Laptop HD. I do boot up zune software without the external HD on. Not sure if this is it? 2. I have deleted the temp files that zune creates with CCleaner? Does this do it? Let me know if you figured anything out. Koni |

Yes it could be due to you removing the temporary files that the Zune Software creates as it also stores the library information there.
Does your Zune Software re-add the songs to your library every time you start it up? |
