video conversion help

does anyone have a problem converting video files to the zune? i mean i want to have them converted to 720x480 format so i can watch them on the tv so when i use another app to convert them, and put them on my zune, the zune software still converts on its own, but it starts the conversion at like 50 or 60%. I checked the tech specifications on the zune website to see exactly what it supports and i convert my videos to be ok with that and it STILL converts. really frustrating. anyway, does anybody have any suggestions on a program that will convert videos to the exact one needed for the zune and use 720x480 dimentions. thanks in advance!

Which kind of zune do you have and what format are you converting them to?
Because even though it says that mp4 files are compatible with zune 30s the software still has to convert them before they are put on the zune
So if you don't want them to convert then convert them to wmv format (this is presuming you have a zune 30 and the videos are in mp4 format)
