delete files from zune

Just discovered these forums and installed the Dark Zune theme and like it. I have the v2.3 of the zune sftw and have went through deleting everything from the zune, however there are still some things left on the zune that will not delete. Is there a way, short of trying the "reformat" tip to delete everything off the zune as I don't really need to reformat, I just want to delete leftover music, videos and playlists. I tried to do the hold "back/up - back/right/center" suggestion but it doesn't seem to work and I am not sure if it only worked in v1, v2 or both. Any help would be appreciated.
