Okay, so I downloaded an audiobook from a service, but it had DRM that the Zune wouldn't accept. So I used zSuite to make my zune a generic WPD device. That allowed me to sync the file to my Zune using WMP. But the file is extremely long (like 14 hours), and I want to put it into my podcasts so I'll have resume/bookmark capabilities, and then I won't have to fast forward through 10 or so hours of story.
so my question is...
Is there a way to sync a podcast using Windows Media Player?

Have you tried using zSuite to sync your podcasts via Itunes?

You shouldnt need to use WMP, try using the Zune software and tag the genre as podcast.. that might work..

If not try using Media Monkey or Itunes.. not sure WMP would work.

See the thing is, the file I'm trying to sync is DRM protected. It can be synced, but only with a PlaysForSure device, and only using WMP. If i use WMP to sync my Zune, it gets treated like a PlaysForSure. But I still want the file to be treated like a podcast when I play it on my device, i.e. it will have a bookmark/resume function.

Just a hunch, but try setting the song genre to "Podcast". Maybe it will automatically put it in the podcasts folder then.
