Introducing Zune Online Backgrounds and Zune Dark Themes
THESE DO NOT WORK WITH THE LATEST VERSION OF THE SOFTWARE, ONLY 2.1. PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL UNLESS YOU HAVE THIS VERSION.
Introducing, DarkZune's 2 brand new hacks, Zune Online Backgrounds, and Zune Dark Themes!
After days and days of hardcore labour, patching, and gfx work, three members of DarkZune have brought you the creation and release of two spectacular hacks. The two hacks, brought to you by DarkZune and Kmt-Stuido, are briefly explained below.
Zune Dark Theme
The Zune software is great and all, but it would be much better with some dark backgrounds. Easy to read text, easy on the eyes. Although the text and images did not fit with the dark backgrounds. It was hard to read, and difficult to understand. Thanks to Fez, Aden's, and Wetworker's hard work, the text and images have been redone, and wonderfully fit with the dark backgrounds provided to you by DarkZune.
Now, the patch gives you a folder, which is located in
Code:
C:Program FilesZuneBackground
This is the place that you would input your own background images. In the software, just click 'Set Local Image' (found in Display settings), and enter the image name, without the path or file extension (do not add .jpg or .jpeg). The background file will be added, easy peasey. Currently only .jpg and .jpeg image types are supported. Please also note that the Zune Software must be installed in the C: Drive Location for the Local Backgrounds to work. You may request a mirrored version with a different Zune Installed Drive (eg. Hard Drive D:/ ) as a reply to this topic.

Zune Online Themes
The second surprise, provided by Aden and Fez, is a convenient feature that allows you to easily use software backgrounds provided to you by DarkZune's special gallery of images.

You will also find the link on your nav bar, at the top left of the page which will help you upload images before they are later added and reviewed to the official gallery.
Once at the gallery, you will spot a number of thumbnails previews, each with their individual names beneath them. Each image will have the following setup:

Clicking the preview will send you to a page with the full sized image. At your software, simply input the name of the image (Agave for the one above), no need for the link or file extension, just the name, and kaboom. You've got the image in your software!
As said earlier, another cool feature of this hack is uploading your own images for everyone to use as a background. At the link provided in the navbar as "Upload Backgrounds" you may choose the file you want to share, and click 'Upload'! It's as simple as that.
