Bad video sound ,wrong format

Hello, i?ve got a lot of avis and i bought my zune 4 watching these video.But I have to convert the avis 2 watch them on the zune.
:confused:
1.I there a chance 2 watch normal avis on the zune?

2.What can i do 2 have a better video and exspectially sound quality?the sound is soo bad , that it isnt quite funny 2 watch these video

1. When the zSuite 2.0 comes out then more files should be compatible with the Zune i.e. avi files
2. Different video files have different sound qualities, i think wmv have one of the best out of the supported Zune video files.

Check with Aden, Fez or some of the other staff with what i've said.

I doubt zSuite will bring AVI functionality. Thats solely upto microsoft. You will need to convert your Avis.

When converting / ripping your Video, always slect the highest quality that is available compatibility wise for the Zune. Best Audio settings in rippers and converters are always fine. Use a 320 x 240 resolution at about 700kbs data and it should be great, some have pushed the limits further, like myself, and handled 1200kbs+ video files on the Zune with little problem, its all personal preferenc.

Ah my bad, but didn't the old zSuite support more file formats?

Yes but only the Zune Software.

Yep, Wompa is right, only Software support and the new software is even more locked down than the previous one. I managed to unlock DVR-MS onto the Zune Software, although it was many regedits + messing around with stuff to get it to work well.. so we wont release that as its a pretty useless format anyhow. But yah, the new software is locked down, and this guy is talking about the device, which zSuite doesnt alter.

I have a lot of AVI files so to watch them on my zune, I spend most of my time converting them (obviously). I use the Cucusoft Zune Converter and find that with majority of the files, it works really well. Depending on the size of the files, it may take a little while though (e.g. a file that goes for an hour will take about 20mins+ to convert). So yeah. I recommend Cucusoft as well.
